This high-quality, hand-knotted chainmail coat is a so-called hauberk. This means that it is a long-sleeved, knee-length chainmail shirt. Such a powerful chainmail coat covered most of the body. This historically authentic cut was often widened with front or side slits to give the wearer greater legroom. This means that these long chainmail coats could be worn comfortably even by riders on horseback.

Our chainmail is generally uncut, so the customer can fit it individually if required. It also has tapered sleeves that narrow around a ring approximately every 5cm.

The frw type braid: This flat ring braid is made of flat chain rings, which are closed by means of wedge rivets (triangular rivets). This type of braid is typical of ring armour from the late Middle Ages in Europe. The braid is 4 in 1. We call this braid frw (English = flat ring w rivets).

The dimensions of each size are measured fully stretched.
