This high-quality, hand-knotted chain mail is a so-called chemise. This means a long-sleeved, knee-length chain mail shirt. Such a powerful chain mail shirt covered most of the body. This historically authentic cut was often extended with front or side slits to give the wearer more legroom. This means that these long chain mail shirts can be worn comfortably even by riders on horseback.

Our chainmail is generally uncut, so the customer can style it individually if needed. It also has tapered sleeves that narrow around a ring approximately every 5 cm.

The FRM braid is a European braid of flat ring chains, which has been used in various variations and designs since ancient times. In the late Middle Ages, ring diameters were manufactured and used. It consists exclusively of flat chain rings. The rings and perforated rings are alternately joined together in the 4-in-1 braiding style. This weaving was and still requires less labor than the fully riveted braid, since only every other ring is riveted. The riveted rings are riveted using round rivets, resulting in a round, hemispherical rivet head. We abbreviate this authentic braid type "FRM" in honor of the Englishman. (= mixed round rivets .)
