Bustiers first appeared in the late Middle Ages and are still firmly rooted in traditional costume fashion today. They give the upper body the desired shape and are worn both under and over clothing. Unlike corsets, bustiers or corsets (also known as corsets) are less rigid and more comfortable to wear.



Our lace-up bustier is made of cotton velvet and cotton fabric. It is additionally lined with a cotton fabric. The front lacing and partial lacing on the sides allow for individual adaptation to the individual body. The longitudinal seams are slightly reinforced, making this bustier very comfortable to wear and can easily be worn all day long.



If you combine the bodice with a blouse, skirt and matching accessories, you get a harmonious costume for a maiden or a pirate.

Care instructions:

Cotton velvet should not be put in the washing machine, as this will cause the velvet to wrinkle irreversibly. You should also not iron velvet, as this will cause the pile to lose depth. We recommend brushing light stains with a clothes brush in the direction of the pile. If there is more serious contamination, we recommend taking the dress to the dry cleaners.
