Stylistically, Riccardo Prencipe mixes neofolk with neoclassical, some medieval sounds and atmospheric background music. When singing, Prencipe uses different female voices. This fits with the melodies and decorates the compositions with a more sensual touch. Sometimes it reminds you of Clannad or Loreena McKennitt, although Corde Oblique's folk influences are less Celtic and more Romanesque in origin and the pieces do not have a pop feeling. The texts are alternatively in Italian or English.
