This type of chain collar (English standards) was used in the late Middle Ages and was mainly worn on clothing (gambeson) sewn or laced.

The rrr chain mesh: This chain mesh is made up of completely round rings with round rivet heads. Each ring is riveted by hand. The braid is 4 in 1. We call this type of braid rrr (English = round ring ing r ring).
