Treat yourself to a Frm Chain Collar, Di8mm, Untreated
Chain necklace frm, 8 mm, untreated
This type of chain collar (English standards) was used in the late Middle Ages and was mainly sewn on or stitched over clothing (gambeson set).
The FRM braid is a European braid made of flat chain rings, which was manufactured and used with various modifications and with different ring diameters from ancient times to the end of the Middle Ages. It consists exclusively of flat chain rings. The rings and perforated rings are alternately joined together in the 4-in-1 braiding style. This weave was and is less labor-intensive than the fully riveted braid, as only every second ring is riveted. The riveted rings are riveted together using round rivets, from which a round, hemispherical rivet head is obtained. We abbreviate this authentic braid type FRM. (= F mixed round rivets .)
