Delight in the Silver Celtic Trinity Knot Pendant
Silver pendant necklace, Celtic knot
The trinity knot consists of an isosceles arched triangle in which lines intertwine with no visible beginning or end. Also known as the celtic triangle or triquetra (also triquetta or triquet ), this knot is one of the best-known symbols of celtic culture. It first appeared in depictions in ireland around the 6th or 7th century. It is often found in so-called insular art (the early medieval art style of ireland and britain), for example in the book of kells (9th century), the world-famous illuminated manuscript housed in trinity college dublin.
Although its original meaning is still unknown, it is believed that this symbol had a religious meaning for pagans. In Christian iconography, the triquetra was used as a representation of the Holy Trinity. But it also appeared in many other cultures, and each culture attributes its own meaning to it.
The Trinity Knot is still known for its versatility and represents, among other things, longevity, eternal love, eternal spiritual life, family cohesion, the unity of body, soul and spirit, or the triune goddess in Wicca (the religion of witches). It is often used as an amulet or protective talisman.
Whether at medieval markets, Viking events, reenactments or simply in modern everyday life, men and women can wonderfully round off their outfit with this elegant jewellery pendant.
Combined with a simple necklace or a leather strap, this charming silver jewel will attract everyone's attention.
A great gift for Valentine's Day, Christmas and any occasion in between!
