Thor's hammer, also called mjölnir (= the malmer), is the attribute of the thunder god thor, considered the second most important norse deity after his father odin. according to mythology, the dwarf brokk forged mjölnir and could be thrown without ever missing the target. with the hammer, thor successfully fought against the giants who always threatened the bloodlines of the vanir and aesir. the midgard serpent also sensed mjölnir.

Today Thor's hammer is considered jewelry and a talisman and is also an expression of paganism in a Christian environment.



This Thor's steel hammer was hand forged. The forging marks were deliberately preserved to give the Viking jewelry a rustic look. A round brown leather cord is included.



This beautiful piece of ironwork is perfect for medieval reenactment or living history and will make any representation of a Viking look even more authentic. Of course, this early medieval piece of jewellery is also very nice to wear in modern everyday life.
