This hand-forged chain pendant symbolizes Mjölnir , the mighty hammer of the Norse god of thunder Thor ( Donar ).



Thor was sometimes considered the supreme Germanic god, especially among simple farmers and free warriors, while Scandinavian jarls and kings preferred Thor's father Odin (German Wodan or Wotan ) to be supreme deity.



According to mythology, the dwarf Brokk forged Mjölnir. You can throw it without ever missing the target. Thor successfully fought with the hammer against the giants who always threatened the lineage of gods of the Vanir and Aesir. The Midgard Serpent also sensed Mjölnir.



Today Thor's hammer is considered jewelry and a talisman and is also an expression of paganism in a Christian environment.
