Roman belt
DescriptionYou are a citizen of the Roman Empire and a professional heavy infantryman in the Roman army. You enlisted in your legion for twenty-five years of service, and you are both relieved and anxious to know you only have a few years left.
As you check that your Roman belt and other army-issued armor are secure, you and your fellow soldiers feel ready to go into battle. You just hope your training continues to serve you well. At the very least, you're confident in the edge of your weapon.
DETAILS
Epic Armoury's Roman Belt is inspired by the military belt worn by high-ranking Roman soldiers. The Roman belt's five hanging leather plates and metal fittings protect the groin, but ultimately, this is more for a display of rank than for armor.
Made from heavy canvas and edged with soft leather, this belt is constructed to prevent tearing or warping, providing a durable solution for your Roman-inspired costume. With a sturdy cotton cord tied in the back, this belt can be adjusted to a wide range of sizes to fit your unique body.

Maintenance
Natural leather products are very durable, but they require regular maintenance with leather care products to stay supple and extend their lifespan. Make sure your leather products stay dry when stored. Let wet leather dry naturally before treating it. If it frequently gets wet and dries, increase the frequency of maintenance.
Cleaning
Clean by removing dirt with a stiff brush, then gently rub leather soap with a clean, damp cloth until the leather looks clean. Remove the soap with a separate damp cloth to clean any soap residue, and then use a dry cloth to wipe away any remaining water from the leather.
Conditioning
You should always condition leather after cleaning it, as the soap will have removed some of its natural oils. Treat the leather with mink oil, olive oil, or beeswax using a clean cloth, gently rubbing a small amount of oil or wax into the leather in circles. Allow the leather to soak in the oil before wiping it with a final clean cloth to remove excess residue.
