Gift Otto Von Orlamünde Medieval Leather Belt, Various Colors
Medieval knight's belt Otto von Orlamünde, leather with brass fittings,
Different colors
This elegant medieval belt is a reconstruction of the belt of Otto VI (VII), Count of Weimar-Orlamünde, Lord of Plassenburg & Rudolstadt (1297–1340). The original template can be seen in the life-size stone portrait, or epitaph, of the Count, which is located in the Bavarian monastery of Himmelkron (a former Cistercian monastery and Otto's final resting place).
The approximately 4 cm wide belt is made of robust, 2 mm thick leather and features a round buckle with a pronounced pin, a disc-shaped clasp, and 14 rounded, flower-shaped crosses. All fittings are made of brass. The belt measures approximately 146 cm long in total (131 cm without buckle and strap end), has no holes, and is knotted in true medieval style. This means it can be tied precisely for a comfortable fit and is suitable for many sizes.
The leather belt best matches both high and low medieval backgrounds and is especially suitable for depicting a 13th or 14th century knight or nobleman.
This beautiful knight's belt is an elegant and authentic addition to any medieval outfit and a perfect accessory for medieval markets, reenactments, or LARP events.

Since leather is a natural product, variations in color and/or grain are quite common. Therefore, no two pieces of this leather belt are alike, and the images above are for illustrative purposes only.
The brass buckle and fittings may have a slight patina or tarnish. We recommend regular maintenance, for example with Ballistol, a universal oil ideal for preserving steel and brass items.
