Hema Red Dragon Lightweight Training Jacket



The Red Dragon Hema Lightweight Training Jacket was designed for Hema and is made from durable 350N cotton with an inner lining. The jacket has less padding than the Hema Training Jacket and is more suited to one-handed weapons such as rapiers and sabres. This jacket does not have any padding on the back as it is very rare to get hit here, especially with rapiers and sabres. This has the effect of reducing the weight of the jacket whilst also increasing breathability. The inside of the arms are also unpadded, further reducing weight. The padded collar is fitted with a blade catcher to protect against stray stabs that may slip under the breastplate of a fencing mask. There is an adjustable velcro strap on the back of the jacket which allows it to be tucked in around the waist for a tighter fit.
