The upper helmets that tapered to the helmet bell were also called sugarloaf helmets in the Middle Ages due to their resemblance to a sugarloaf. This shape became fashionable in the early 14th century.

Our replica has the special feature that the visor is foldable.

The helmet is handcrafted from approximately 1.6 mm thick steel. It has a comfortable, height-adjustable leather liner and a chin strap.

This helmet is available in either a polished or blackened antique finish (item no. 1716413504).
