The upper helmets that taper to the helmet bell were also called sugar loaf in the Middle Ages because of their resemblance to a sugar loaf called helmets. This shape became fashionable at the beginning of the 14th century. Our replica has the particularity that the visor is foldable.

The helmet is hand-made from approximately 1.6 mm thick steel. It has a comfortable leather lining and a height-adjustable chin strap.
