Spitzer Morion helmet with leather inlet
The morion is an open-faced helmet that developed in the 16th century from the late medieval aconite. These helmets were primarily worn by mercenaries and foot pikemen, and later also by city guards and bodyguards. Soldiers of the Vatican's Swiss Guard still wear morion helmets.
The helmet has a comfortable height adjustment, leather lining, and a chin strap. The leather vent is secured with steel rivets just above the brim.
