Enjoys an Italo-Corinthian Helmet with Shield, Black, Decorated
Italo-Corinthian helmet with crest, black, decorated
The Corinthian helmet, created in the 4th century BC and dating back to the 7th century BC, still shapes the image of the typical Greek helmet. Its origins date back to the city of Corinth. It quickly became an integral part of Greek hoplite armor and spread to Italy, where, with some modifications, it was used as one of the most common helmets in the army of the Roman Republic.
This replica of the Italo-Corinthian helmet is made of black steel and features the typical shape of the popular helmet with a long front section, a nose guard, and a curved neck guard.
This helmet is richly decorated: on the sides a mythical creature (apparently a mixture of horse and snake), on the forehead an image of a woman's head made of brass.
The scope of delivery includes a large, lightweight helmet cap, which is secured with metal sheets attached to the helmet. A padded hood is also included.
