13th-14th Century Infantry Helmet with 16 Gauge Leather Lining

Our reproduction is HANDCRAFTED from 16 gauge mild steel, lined with a comfortable and secure leather lining. A circumference of approximately 68cm (unlined) makes it fit almost all head sizes (65cm with lining). A sturdy chin strap with a brass buckle closure keeps the helmet secure during battle. The total height is approximately 18cm and the base measures approximately (33x32) cm. It weighs approximately 2kg and 360 grams. Note: This product is carefully coated with a layer of oil at the time of packaging which acts as a temporary (protective) layer against corrosion (rust), which can be easily cleaned with any degreaser or even a dry cloth.

As an infantryman, you need protection from shells and scorching heat. After all, walking for miles has never been easy for anyone. And that's precisely why our boiler-hat helmet has been an exemplary companion.

The teapot hat, also called "Chapel de Fer" in French, is the ideal helmet for footmen, crossbowmen, billmen, and vougiers. It was very popular among medieval armies for its versatility and perfect balance of protection and mobility. Combine it with one of our chainmail caps and you'll have an optimal combination for your next LARP or reenactment, offering a magnificent look without hindering vision or freedom of movement.
