Thracian gladiator helmet

This type of helmet probably developed from the Phrygian helmet and was widespread in ancient Greece. However, in the form presented here, it became known in Roman arenas as the Thraex type of gladiator helmet.

This reproduction is made of high-quality steel and features several brass-colored appliqués on the distinctive helmet shield and decorated forehead. The face shield is suspended on three small hinges and secured with a twist lock. A padded hood is included.
