Thracian gladiator helmet

This type of helmet probably developed from the Phrygian helmet and was widespread in ancient Greece. However, in the form presented here, it became known in Roman arenas as the Thraex type gladiator helmet.

This reproduction is made of high-quality steel and has several brass-coloured applications on the characteristic helmet shield and decorated on the forehead. The face shield is suspended on three small hinges and secured with a twist lock. A padded hood is included.
