Delight in the Vendel and Viking Age Spectacled Helmet.
Vendel period / Viking Age goggle helmet
Numerous artifacts, weapons, and pieces of armor from the so-called Vendel Period (ca. 550–800 AD), which preceded the Viking Age, have survived the ravages of time. This helmet is inspired by several finds from the Vendel Period and is also suitable for Viking representations.
Our Viking vendel helmet is hand-forged from carbon steel and has the typical features of comb helmets from this era: goggles for the upper part of the face, as well as metal bands or fasteners (crown band and side bands). The round helmet bell, fasteners, and face shield are connected to each other by steel rivets. The blackened interior has an adjustable leather inlay attached to the helmet bell with rivets, and the leather chin strap is closed with a brass buckle.
This early medieval spangenhelm will make your transformation into a proud Norse warrior simply perfect and, of course, is also an excellent decorative addition to every helmet collector's treasure trove.
