The model for this replica helmet, suitable for exhibition combat, is from 1983. The so-called Coppergate helmet was found in York, England. It dates back to the 8th century and, as one of the few Anglo-Saxon helmet finds, is of great archaeological importance. The helmet features decorative brass applications with engravings and a chain mount made of unriveted galvanized rings.
The helmet has a comfortable leather inlay with a chin strap.
