Tent marquee - 5x8m
Description"The sound of the saw cutting through bone set his nerves on edge. The sound could best be described as like when his father used a saw on a wet piece of wood, except the wood didn't usually scream in pain. He silently thanked whatever gods were listening because at least the infirmary tent shielded the gruesome scene from view."
The Epic Armory Marquee Tent is based on designs familiar from the medieval Crusades. It offers a spacious and private dwelling for rest or clandestine meetings while on the LARP fields. The tent's color is two-tone, giving an authentic feel of how tents were made during the age of armored knights.
The roof and walls are supported by poles, allowing for an open canopy configuration without walls or a secluded configuration with walls. As an improvement on the typical design with tedious rope loops, the Epic Armory Marquee tent's wall pieces easily attach to the roof piece with hooks and loops. We crafted the poles from powder-coated iron, while the fabric is composed of heavy-duty 100% cotton (425 g/m²), weather-resistant with paraffin wax for durability.
You can choose between regular and compact tent poles when purchasing your tent. Regular poles are full-length, except for the center and ridge poles, assembled from two or three pieces to ensure no pole piece exceeds 200 centimeters. This provides a simple and durable setup, which may be preferable when there's plenty of packing space. Compact tent poles are designed so that no piece exceeds 110 centimeters, which means a lot when storage space is a concern. Compact tent poles are designed without locking mechanisms, as the weight of the tent fabric ensures that a properly secured tent remains secure on the ground. Remember to check and tighten the guylines regularly.
Because our canvas tents and canvas tent roof panels have a considerable volume and weight, the standard shipping calculator does not apply when ordering these products. After ordering a tent or roof panel from our website, we will contact you and provide an exact shipping quote based on your location, which you must confirm before packing and shipping your order.
Each 5x8m Marquee Tent consists of the following: Marquee Tent - Roof , 2 Marquee Tent Sides , 3 Pole Packs and 2 Peg Bags. All colors, packs and bags match your chosen tent.

Maintenance
Our tents and awnings are treated with a water-repellent and mildew-resistant coating, but mildew is a long-standing problem in tents, so preventative measures are essential, although we cannot guarantee complete control. Below are some guidelines for preventing mildew:
Use a groundsheet: We recommend using a groundsheet under your tent to reduce moisture rising from the ground.
Make sure the tent is set up properly so that water drains easily from the fabric and the tent is protected from leaks and mold growth.
Make sure the tent is completely dry before storing it, as damp fabrics encourage mold growth.
If the tent is not completely dry before storage, it may develop a musty odor and compromise the water-repellent coatings.
Do not store the tent in hot or humid places such as a basement.
-
Avoid cooking inside the tent, as this can cause mold to form on the fabric.
Don't wash dishes inside the tent, as dishwater is one of the fabric's biggest enemies.
Pitch your tent on a dry, clear day.
Take special care in high humidity climates to avoid mold.
Do not hang a dishcloth over a bar inside the tent, as soap residue can damage the fabric.
Ventilate the tent, especially when not in use.
Avoid pitching your tent under trees, as bird droppings and tree debris after rain can cause mold growth.
Regular Cleaning: Encourage regular cleaning of the tent with mild soap and cold water to remove dirt and organic materials, which can promote mold growth.
-
Check for damage: Periodically check for signs of wear or damage. Small rips or tears can allow moisture to penetrate, which can lead to mold growth.
