Fimbul Hood - Wool

"Hidden beneath his woolen hood, with his fake beard and eye patch, he was unrecognizable to everyone, even though he was the most wanted man in the kingdom. As the officials moved the targets away, one of the others, a man dressed in red tights and a feathered hat and smelling of rosewater, spoke up: "Tell me, One-Eye, do you think you can win? The silver arrow?" The disguised man chuckled; "I may not be as agile as I once was, but I still have a good chance."

Inspired by the medieval German gugel hood style, the Fimbul hood is made of herringbone wool with light and dark brown polyester fur trim. It works well over another garment, as it was commonly worn in the Middle Ages. Typically, this would be a shirt or tunic, where the hood was added as extra protection from the elements, especially in winter with the fur trim. It ties around the neck with a leather cord for a snug fit.
