The bmsb chain mesh consists of round, unriveted rings. The surface of the rings is blackened (burnished) and thus offers a slight protection against corrosion. We call this type of braid bmsb (butted mild steel blackened). The chain hood is hand-woven 4 in 1.

This chainmail hood completely covers the shoulder and is decorated with the authentic square cutout from history. In addition, the hood has a foldable triangular mouthguard with leather straps sewn on the sides. The mouthguard is lightly padded on the inside and lined with leather.

This type of chainmail hood was particularly popular in the early Middle Ages (for example, among Normans and Crusaders).

We recommend wearing a waistband hood under the chain hood.
