This chain hood completely covers the shoulder and has the authentic square face cut. In addition, the hood has a folding triangular mouth guard to which a leather strap is sewn on the side. The mouth guard is lightly padded on the inside and lined with leather. This type of chain hood was especially popular in the early Middle Ages (e.g. among Normans and Crusaders).

The rrr chain mesh: This chain mesh is made up of completely round rings with round rivet heads. Each ring is riveted by hand. The braid is 4 in 1. We call this type of braid rrr (English = round ring ing r ring).
