This chain hood completely covers the shoulder and is provided with the authentic square cut-out from history. In addition, the hood has a foldable square mouthguard to which leather straps are sewn on the sides. The mouthguard is lightly padded on the inside and lined with leather. This type of chain hood was especially popular in the early Middle Ages (e.g. among Normans and Crusaders). We recommend wearing a hood under the chain hood.

The chain link by the way: This unriveted chain link is made of high-quality spring steel. Due to its good price-performance ratio, it is ideal for beginners who still value good protection and solid quality. The braid is 4 in 1. We call this type of braid btw (english = b utted t ensile w ire). The rings are untreated, so they can rust, but they give the braid an authentic look.
