This chain hood completely covers the shoulder and has the authentic square face cut. In addition, the hood has a foldable square mouth guard to which leather straps have been sewn on the side. The mouth guard is lightly padded on the inside and lined with leather. This type of chain hood was especially popular in the early Middle Ages (e.g. among Normans and Crusaders).

The rrr chainmail: This chainmail consists of completely round rings with round rivet heads. Each ring is riveted by hand. The braid is 4 in 1. We call this type of braid rrr (English = round ring riveted ). We recommend that you wear a hood under the chainmail hood.
