The hood, also called coiffe , was already worn in the 12th century, as contemporary illustrations show. In the European Middle Ages it was compulsory to cover the head and this type of hood covered the heads of both women and men of the lower classes. But warriors also wore them (in padded form) under a coat of mail or under a helmet.

Our hoods are sewn from soft and warm fleece (85% minimum content) and also have a cotton inner lining (85% minimum content). The straps are sewn extra long according to the patterns.

We offer these hoods in three colours as standard: black, brown and green, with the inner lining of all hoods being natural in colour.
