Treat yourself to a High Middle Ages Hood, Various Colors.
High medieval wool hood, various colors
The hood, also called a coiffe , was already worn in the 12th century, as contemporary illustrations show. In the European Middle Ages, head coverings were obligatory, and these types of hoods covered the heads of both women and men of the lower classes. However, warriors also wore them (in a padded form) under a coat of mail or under a helmet.
Our hoods are sewn from soft, warm wool (85% minimum wool content) and also have a cotton lining (85% minimum wool content). The ties are sewn extra-long according to the pattern.
We offer these hoods in three standard colors: black, brown, and green, with the inner lining of all hoods being natural.
