The Captain Gorget is a minor but essential piece of armor, available in glorious Polished Steel and grim Epic Dark. It's equipped with cords designed to hold Captain Pauldrons or other shoulder armor.

The Captain Gorget is part of the Captain Armor Complete Set and is therefore designed to be combined with the Captain Cuirass , Captain Pauldrons , Captain Arm Protection , Captain Leg Protection and Captain Belt Shields .

WHAT DOES “GORGET” MEAN?

The word gorget is derived from the Old French word gorget , meaning throat or narrow passage, derived from the Late Latin gurges , which can mean throat, jaws, and whirlpool. Thus, the word gorget is etymologically related to words such as gorge , throat, and gulf . However, in a military context, a ruff refers to an armored collar designed to protect the throat.
