Enjoy the 14th Century Washbasin Hood with Visor, 2mm Steel.
Washbasin hood with viewing window, 14th century, 2 mm steel
- Suitable for combat -
Fully combat-ready, replica of a late 14th-century saucer folding visor. The bascinet, also called a bascinet , bassinet , or basnet , is a form of helmet that developed from the brain hood in the early 14th century. Basin hoods were usually worn in conjunction with chainmail braid.
Our reconstruction has already been punched with brass buttons on the underside, to which a chainmail braid can be easily attached. The helmet has a striking, artistic, handcrafted visor made of 2 mm steel.
The two helmet halves are also handcrafted from 2 mm thick sheet steel, cleanly welded and polished. A high-quality, adjustable padded liner is riveted to the helmet.
This helmet is suitable for show fighting.
