This loose-fitting, ruffled shirt is particularly suitable for portraying a pirate or a nobleman. It has a collar and a double-shoulder yoke. Starting from the yoke, the shirt is gathered at the front and back, making it particularly comfortable to wear. The neckline is laced and decorated with ruffles. The sleeve hems are gathered with an elastic band and have an additional layer of ruffles. The hem is rounded towards the side seams. The shirt is made of cotton and is comfortable to wear.
Historically, shirts only became fashionable in the late Middle Ages, when trousers became tighter and blouses shorter. They then became indispensable during the Renaissance.
