This chainmail shirt is a sleeveless ring armor without the Roman double shoulder, i.e. suitable for representing Roman auxiliary troops (auxiliaries), but also for Celtic and Germanic tribes.

The RM chain mail is made of rings with a diameter of just 6 mm. According to the original templates, it consists of a row of riveted rings (round rivet heads) and a row of perforated rings. Due to the extremely small diameter of the rings, these chain mails could be manufactured then and now from steel with a material thickness of just 1 mm without losing their strength. This results in a weight reduction of approximately 30–35%.

We shortened this type of braid to rm ( Roman maille ) because it was already very popular among the Celts and Romans (hamata). This ring-weave braid was in use throughout the Late Middle Ages.

Available in three sizes (m, l and xl).

The dimensions of the individual sizes are measured when fully stretched.< br>< br> details:
