The author:
Thomas F. Klein studied history, politics, and German and now works as a columnist for the Faz. He also writes regional studies, museum guides, and art and travel guides. In 2008, Klein won the Third Hessian Journalist Prize for a report on the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park.
