In this price category, the Bushman Collection survival knives are hard to beat! Unlike most hollow-handled knives, there's no joint or seam between the blade and handle that requires mechanical fasteners. Instead, the Bushman knife blades and handles are cold-forged from a single piece of SK-5 carbon steel. The knives are then heat-treated and professionally hardened to a Rockwell hardness of 54 HRC. In Cold Steel® tests, the transition between the blade and handle could withstand a pressure of over two tons!


Each Bushman blade has been carefully polished, then hand-polished and resharpened to a razor edge. The hollow handles provide space for survival tools and can be extended with various handle extensions to optimize reach or leverage, or to make throwing the knife easier.


They are available in two different blade styles (standard and bowie). In both versions, the blades are fully curved, making them ideal for skinning and a variety of craft projects. Both versions also include a Secure-Ex® sheath with a high-quality Auermetall flint. Strike it with the back of your knife and start a fire in no time!

Sk-5 carbon steel

Japanese SK-5 carbon steel is traditionally used to make a variety of hand tools, such as chisels and wood saws. Due to its high universal toughness, excellent edge retention, and outstanding abrasion resistance, this steel has proven itself in many countries.
