Bushido wakizashi

Bushido, or the way of the warrior, describes the code of conduct that every samurai must follow, and the Hanwei bushido wakizashi was designed to uphold this tradition.

The bushido wakizashi blade is hand forged from K120C powdered steel, folded, and has a medium-length kissaki (chu) . The saya is lacquered and features brass cherry blossom ( sakura ) inlays. High quality stingray skin ( sama ) was used on the tsuka . The tsuba is made of blackened and bronzed iron with gold and silver detailing and depicts a battle scene. The tsuka-ito and sageo are woven from high quality Japanese cotton. The fuchi and kashira are made of blackened bronze with brass detailing, kojiri , koiguchi and kurikata are made of polished buffalo horn. The habaki is cast from a single piece of brass.
