Treat yourself to a Goldsborough Viking Brooch, Brass
Viking brooch from Goldsborough, brass
In 1859, a Viking hoard was discovered in the village of Goldsborough in northern England (county of North Yorkshire). It included the template for this brooch, as well as other tunic pin fragments and 39 coins from the period between 700 and 1050 AD. The find is one of the largest in England and is now kept at the British Museum in London.
The original ring brooch from the earlier Viking era is made of silver. As the needle was missing from the original, a matching needle was added to this beautifully crafted brass replica.
