If you are looking for the perfect accessory for the next medieval market, this Viking Age primer is just the thing for you!

This beautiful Viking brass brooch is decorated with intertwined animals, a typical motif of the Oseberg style. The brooch can be easily attached to the garment by means of a pin on the back.

Trefoil brooches were an integral part of clothing for almost the entire Viking Age. These brooches were mainly worn by women, for example to close a cloak or the neckline of a dress or tunic. However, they did not only serve as clothing fasteners, but were also worn individually as jewellery.

Whether at medieval markets, Viking events, reenactments or simply in modern everyday life - with this beautiful Viking brooch men and women can round off their outfit beautifully.

The Oseberg style was widespread between the late 8th and mid-9th centuries and became known through the discovery of a ship grave at Oseberg in Norway’s Oslo Fjord. The use of animal motifs is characteristic of the Oseberg style. These strange, indefinable animal-like creatures, whose shapes the craftsmen arranged so that they could harmoniously fill any imaginable form, increasingly displaced other motifs. They were preferably used on everyday objects made of wood or metal. But gripping animals can also be found as part of the decoration of the famous Oseberg ship .

The above specifications may vary slightly from specimen to specimen.
