Bramham Moor Dagger, Windlass
This dagger, named after the final battle of the Percy Rebellion of 1402–1408, is typical of the war dress of wealthy people from this period. The Battle of Bramham Moor was the result of a power struggle between the first Earl of Northumberland, Henry Percy, and King Henry IV, and was fought in the snow on a cold February 19. The violent fight ended Percy's life and the standing of the Percy family, although a branch of his descendants rose to prominence during the Wars of the Roses.
This long dagger has an unpolished stained wood handle and low-gloss brass fittings.
The brown leather scabbard is fitted with a muzzle plate and a brass bezel that complements the dagger's fittings. The belt hook features a finely detailed roaring lion's head, worthy of a nobleman.
Includes matching leather sheath with brass appliqués.
Manufactured by windlass steelcrafts.
This dagger is designed as a collectible or decorative item and is also perfect as an accessory, for example to complete your costume.
