Medieval boots made of leather with strap closure, 14th century

A pair of handmade high boots based on the late medieval model made from sturdy vegetable tanned leather.

The shaft reaches below the knee, and the boot is individually adjusted and closed using five adjustable sewn-in straps and brass buckles. The strap or buckle closure ensures a perfect fit around the lower leg/calf.

The soles are also made of leather and are nailed all the way around for durability and stability.

Details:

- Material: Vegetable tanned cowhide, brass buckles
- Upper leather: approx. 3 mm

- Leather sole: approx. 7 mm

- Color: dark brown

- Available sizes: 40 - 48

Please note:

The sturdiness of shoes based on historical patterns may not meet modern requirements! They are quite sensitive to asphalt, concrete blocks, and gravel. These floor coverings didn't exist in the Middle Ages! Therefore, we recommend wearing shoes, insoles if necessary, or having rubber soles fitted by a shoemaker of your choice.
