Get Three-Buckle Pointed Boots, Dark Brown.
Three-buckle pointed boots, dark brown
Although documented since the High Middle Ages, pointed shoes and boots did not become fashionable until the late 14th century. This footwear became so popular around 1450 that dress codes were even enacted to regulate their use and associated excesses. By the time of Edward IV of England, in 1463, knights, knaves, noblemen, and others were forbidden to wear shoes with points longer than 2 inches. In 1465, the law was stricter so that no shoemaker or cobbler could make shoes with points longer than 2 inches.
Our boots are individually adjusted and secured with three riveted buckles and straps. Unlike their medieval counterparts, these medieval boots have a hard, anthracite-colored rubber sole.
Details:
- Outer material: approx. 2 mm thick cowhide leather
- Sole: hard rubber
- Color: dark brown
