Bmsz Galvanized Chain Strap with Leather, Unriveted, 8mm Diameter
Bmsz galvanized chain braid with leather, unriveted, id 8 mm
A helmet braid is a chainmail that was attached to a helmet in the Middle Ages as additional protection for the neck and shoulders. The preferred helmet types here were the nasal helmet, but especially the tilting helmet from the late Middle Ages and its variant, the gugel dog.
This chain collar features a genuine serrated braided edge and an attached strip of thick cowhide. The customer must incorporate the helmet attachment holes into these leather strips.
BMSZ chain link mesh consists of unriveted round rings. The surface of the rings is galvanized, offering good corrosion protection. We call this type of mesh BMSZ (= thickly galvanized mild steel). The chain link mesh is hand-woven 4-in-1.
