Discover Bmsb Burnished Leather Chain Necklace, Unriveted ID 8mm
Bmsb burnished chainmail helmet with leather, unriveted id 8 mm
A helmet is a chain mail that was attached to a helmet in the Middle Ages as additional protection for the neck and shoulders. The preferred helmet types here were the nasal helmet, but especially the late medieval clasp helmet and its variant, the dog helmet.
This chain collar features a genuine serrated braided edge and an attached strip of thick cowhide. The customer must incorporate the helmet attachment holes into these leather strips.
For attaching to helmets such as: b. hundsgugeln or bascinet.
The BMSB chain mesh consists of unriveted round rings. The surface of the rings is blackened (burnished) and therefore offers a certain degree of protection against corrosion. We call this type of braid BMSB (butted mild steel blackened). The chain tensioner is hand-braided 4-in-1.
