Each model in the series is made from 4116 steel, ground to a razor-sharp edge and can be easily sharpened on the job or in the field. All handles are constructed from a rigid, durable zy-ex™ core and a softer, food-safe kray-ex™ outer layer that provides a comfortable, non-slip grip even after hours of use.

4116 steel is a fine-grained stainless knife steel. It is often used for pharmaceutical equipment and high-quality kitchen knives. Its balanced carbon-chromium ratio ensures first-class rust protection and high strength. Very fine and extremely sharp cutting edges can be ground. An excellent choice for hunting/outdoor knives and kitchen knives and utensils.
