Noble Leather Bevor

The dark red Noble Leather Bevor from Epic Armoury is a handcrafted piece of leather armor designed to protect the face and neck, inspired by traditional armor worn during the medieval period. Molded to sit comfortably around the neck and rest on the shoulders, the Bevor offers the ultimate protection for the battlefield. The overlaid leather allows for some flexibility, while the red velvet lining and scalloped edges provide a rich appearance. This Bevor can be easily combined with other Epic Armory helmets and the Noble Gorget for a complete look.
Secure the Bevor by tightening the leather strap at the back of your neck, adjusting it so your chin fits comfortably. Made of thick, premium-grade hardened leather, this piece of armor is designed to withstand the abuse of LARP or reenactment with proper leather care.
Available in dark red, green and black.
HISTORY
- It is usually worn with a sallet or burgonet to protect the entire head and neck. Plate version was used during jousting tournaments
- Bevor is a term also used for the hinged plate that protects the lower face and throat in a closed helmet.

Maintenance
Natural leather products are very durable, but they require regular maintenance with leather care products to stay supple and increase their lifespan. Make sure your leather products stay dry when stored. Let wet leather dry naturally before treating it. If it frequently gets wet and dries, increase the frequency of maintenance.
Cleaning
Clean by removing dirt with a stiff brush, then gently rub leather soap with a clean, damp cloth until the leather looks clean. Remove the soap with a separate damp cloth to clean any soap residue, and then use a dry cloth to wipe away any remaining water from the leather.
Conditioning
You should always condition leather after cleaning it, as the soap will have removed some of its natural oils. Treat the leather with mink oil, olive oil, or beeswax using a clean cloth, gently rubbing a small amount of oil or wax into the leather in circles. Allow the leather to soak in the oil before wiping it with a final clean cloth to remove excess residue.
