Brutal chic! The new brand Berserk Blades offers you blades from the past, but reinterpreted in a fresh and free way with a modern design and high-quality materials. We begin our journey into the past with a series of knives that, judging by the shape of the blade, could have originated in the Viking Age.
The second model in our range stands out not only for its overall length; it measures just over 30 centimeters. The Yarr is a full-size fixed blade that, like the small Rak, has a Viking seax blade, but the angle at the tip is smaller, making it easier to pierce. Therefore, the tip is relatively delicate, and it should be clear that the Yarr is not designed as a bushcraft knife, for example.
The 4-millimeter-thick Böhler N690 stainless steel blade is ground almost entirely and promises excellent results with a cutting length of approximately 1.5 meters. The handle area is decorated with functional jimping and the deeply etched Berserk Blades logo on the back of the blade and ricasso.
The handle of this full-tang knife adopts the distinctive thumb of the Little Rak, a key feature of this series and ensuring a comfortable hand position and balance. The handle's scales, made of 3D-milled and shot-peened black acrylic, give the Yarr a modern, clean look and create a pleasant feel when holding the knife. Acrylic, rarely used in the knife world, is very stable and weather-resistant. To attach a lanyard if desired, the Yarr features a looped lanyard hole at the bottom of the handle end.
The knife is carried in a sheath made of indestructible, weather-resistant Kydex. A thumb ramp increases comfort when removing the knife. A large number of eyelets allow for the attachment of a wide variety of carrying systems. The scope of delivery includes the popular Multi-Mount System, which allows the knife to be carried horizontally or vertically. For our models, we also offer so-called belt loops, which can be attached to the eyelets and thus allow horizontal carrying on a belt (Scout Carry).
This Yarr is available in two versions, depending on your preference: in pitch-black with a PVD-coated blade and screws, or with a stonewashed blade finish. A storage case, a Berserk Blades PVC patch, and stickers are included.
