Springfield rifles, which were manufactured at the Springfield Armory of the same name in Massachusetts, were part of the standard issue of American troops. These rifles often carried a bayonet for hand-to-hand combat, and their length was comparable to that of short swords.



This authentic replica of the Springfield bayonet is made of steel. The included sheath is made of leather and has brass fittings and a leather belt loop.



A beautiful addition to any collection and an essential accessory for the reenactor of this period.



To attach this bayonet to your musket/rifle, modifications to the locking device may need to be made by a skilled locksmith/gunsmith.
