The Batonata Chopper is a traditional tool used for splitting wood. Whether making roof shingles or splitting firewood, this tool is a perfect replacement for a small axe. A hickory handle and a braided wrap on the top protect the 5 mm thick blade. The full-tang version has a 25 cm long blade and is sharpened on both sides. This version of the classic comes with a full-grain leather sheath.
