This highly authentic, fully battle-ready replica helmet is part of the famous Avant Armor display at Glasgow's Kellingrove Museum.
The armor dates from around 1440. This type of helmet was widespread in northern Italy in the late Middle Ages, but was used throughout Europe.
The helmet is made of 2mm thick steel: hand-cut into two parts, then carefully welded, carefully ground and polished.
The helmet has a very comfortable padded fabric lining and a sturdy chin strap with buckle.
This helmet model is available in sizes M and L.
