Everyone loves Baldur, the lovely, beautiful son of Odin and Frigg. He is considered invulnerable because Frigg made all living beings promise not to harm him. But Loki knows that he forgot about the mistletoe; at his command, the blind Hödur accidentally kills his own brother Baldur with the branch. The pain in Asgard is endless. The gods are trying by all means to bring Baldur back from the realm of the dead of Hel. In vain.

Baldur symbolizes summer, light, warmth and the joy of living. His death foreshadows the coming winter. But Baldur's return at the end of Ragnarok is certain.

This Märzenbier is dedicated to the god of light, Baldur. It is a sweet homage to summer, light and the joy of life. The hopping was done exclusively with complex and aromatic hops, named after the Finnish god of fertility.
