Everyone loves Balur, the lovely, beautiful son of Odin and Frigg. He's considered invulnerable because Frigg made all living beings promise not to harm him. But Loki knows he forgot the mistletoe; and at his command. The blind Hödur accidentally kills his own brother Baldur with the branch. The pain in Asgard is endless. The gods are trying by every means to bring Balur back from the realm of the dead, Hel, to no avail.

Baldur symbolizes summer, light, warmth, and the joy of life. His death foreshadows the coming winter. But Baldur's return at the end of Ragnarok is certain.

This Märzenbier is dedicated to the god of light, Baldur. It's a sweet tribute to summer, light, and the joy of life. The hopping process was carried out exclusively with complex and aromatic hops, named after the Finnish god of fertility.
