Gothic armpits, shoulder pads with floating discs, 15th century, 1.5 mm steel, pair



This portable and mobile replica of a late medieval shoulder plate armour is based on a 15th century German original (ca. 1465). The armpit protectors are made of 1.5 mm thick steel and are equipped with so-called floating discs to protect the armpits. These round, mobile steel discs, which are attached to each shoulder pad with a sturdy leather cord, can be adjusted in height.



The individual elements of the carriage are connected to each other by sturdy leather straps riveted on the inside, which ensure the necessary mobility. Each armpit has an adjustable leather strap of approximately 2 mm thickness with a brass buckle. This allows for easy individual adjustment of the upper arm. On the top there are three holes for attaching to a breastplate or gambeson (straps or nests are not included).



These articulated shoulder pads are equally suitable for historical reenactment, larp and costume. They are ideal for late medieval and renaissance settings and will make your interpretation of a proud knight perfect!



It's a pair, so there are plates for both shoulders.
