This wearable replica of a late medieval plate shoulder armour is made from 1.2 mm (18 gauge) steel. These armour shoulder pads have the multi-layered design typical of late medieval gothic plate armour (15th/16th century). They consist of five parts: a domed main shoulder plate, an upper tier and three lower tiers, which are joined together on the inside by strong steel rivets.

Each armpit has an adjustable leather strap of approximately 2 mm thickness with a brass buckle. This allows for easy individual adjustment of the upper arm. At the top there is a buckle for attachment to other pieces of armour (gorget, halter, cuirass, e.g. our article 1016633700) or to a gambeson.

The edges of the armor are decorated with grooves and small steel rivets, and the interior is blackened for better protection against corrosion.



This shoulder pad is ideal for late medieval and renaissance settings. It is equally suitable for portraying a variety of historical figures and fictional or fantasy characters and will make your transformation into a proud and noble knight or warrior simply perfect, regardless of whether it is a medieval reenactment, larp, ​​theatre, tv/film, costume or cosplay.

The steel used here is not stainless and may show slight signs of corrosion. We recommend taking care of plate armour regularly, for example with Ballistol, a universal oil ideal for preserving steel products.
